Substance

I felt inspired to portray this message when I felt very connected to God. I am a soul. Just like we all are. Part of the same spirit, our substance. Which is formed by God. My faith was stronger than ever, I believed in God and He saw me. He spoke to me. He had always been and still is with me. Within me. And He told me that:

I am enough, regardless of material possessions or worldly achievements. Worthy of peace and happiness. Then there are the promises that lie within me, dreams not ‘seen’ but already carefully placed within me. Waiting to reveal themselves when the time is right, as I follow the light.

Light is only pure when found in Jesus’s name. True light is all God His glory. Receiving Gods mercy through His Son is the most generous gift.

HOW GOD HIS SPIRIT SPOKE THROUGH ME

I knew this painting needed to be called ‘substance’. I had never heard of the word and tried looking for definitions, to make it ‘make sense’. I ‘knew’ what it meant in my soul, but I could not find any definition online that supported that intention. Still I knew it was right. But why?

Months later, after being baptized (Hallelujah), I hear this verse:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen - Hebrews 11:1

Within my deepest nothing

And my greatest everything

I am a soul

and as long as I am

I am whole

My dreams are mine

Even without the glory

Of fulfilling my story

I brightly shine
